December 2009

Dear Family and Friends,         

     Another year gone by and here is our “year in photos”. We have had a blessed, healthy and happy 2009!  Here’s our year in review. News from 2009:  As always, the highlights from the year are shown in pics of Owen below. We had a big decision this past summer; Owen was tested and the school recommended that he skip Kindergarten and go into 1^st grade. Jeff and I pondered many a night on the decision, and allowed him to enter into 1^st grade in September. Turns out it was the best decision! He his very happy, well adjusted and is doing very well in school. He is also in the gifted program and is doing well there as well. We are very, very proud of him. Let’s see what else? Soccer, wrestling, singing (Jubilees), swimming and basketball just to name a few! He keeps us very busy! I am still at Northampton Community College for a second year and very happy there. I handle mostly contracts for larger groups and agencies needing training and credit hours in Early Childhood Education. Jeff has had a very busy year at the golf course and also at the Loft @ Sweet Water. We’ve done about 20 events this year from weddings, reunions, business meetings, and birthday parties. Other highlights this past year include the birth of a new cousin “Baby Jessie” for Derek and Paula, Gotcha Day at Sesame Place Amusement Park in June, visiting Jeff’s family in IL in July for the 4^th (even though it rained!), Jeff’s cousin Ben and his new wife Krista’s wedding in IL in September a trip to the beach with Grandma & Grandpa Vietmeier, Mimi and Matt in September, and our annual trip to the Kempton Train to see Santa in December! Regal is comfortable in his own little room off of our front entrance and is our alarm! He barks to warn us when visitor are arriving, but has lost some hearing and sight in the last year. As always, Jeff, Owen & I continue to be blessed with a wonderful family and friends and good health!  We hope all of you stay safe and healthy this coming year and wish you all a happy holiday!
